People would be amazed at the amount of science that has been done in the Eastern Slopes. Almost 3 decades of study went into the Bighorn Park proposal, from a baseline study that started in the mid 80s to usage predictions through the 1990s. I never believed that we would see the estimated 30,000 users per week that was predicted, yet last year that number was totally beaten.
Maybe now people will pay attention to scientific research, but based on the last election I doubt it.

Interesting fact from the baseline study for fly fishing folk. The highest number of inches of fish per mile of stream in the Eastern Slopes, was southwest of Caroline. Was being the key word. That stream and everything around it is now grazed. Last we fished it cattle were wading through upstream of us. Science and capitalism doesn't mix unless someone is going to get rich from it.
