For the last 13 or so years my 270 wsm and the 140 accubonds have been my go to for dam near everything. Antelope to moose. I have to admit I owned both the 280 Remington and the 7mm Rem and they found new homes. I have soft spots for the 7x57, the 30-06 and the 300 win mag however and now that I look at my gun cabinet the 325 wsm, 35 whelen and 375 h and h are slowly taking over my need for smaller calibers. Had great results with the 325 wsm in Africa. the 35 whelen is gonna be seeing the timber this year for moose elk deer and bear with the 225 grain accubonds. If I was ever stuck with just relying on one cartridge to look after all my hunting it would be the 300 win mag. My beat up old abolt with a hand loaded 180 failsafe just works!
