We carry firearms on boats all the time, travelling to and from hunting areas on the Peace, Chinchaga, Hay and Athabasca rivers. As far as coastal waters go, it would be irresponsible to leave your firearms in your vehicle while absent on your boat. Of course, you'd want to keep them safe from thieves.

(Now somebody's probably going to chime in and tell me to "Prove there are thieves in Prince Rupert!")

Lastly, the Criminal Code does not exist to spell out what you can do, it exists to spell out what you can't.

In todays ever more restrictive society, you better know where you stand with firearms law, and be prepared to defend yourself against countless police officers who don't - and especially those who think they can make it up as they go along. We now live in a time when "To Serve and Protect" has degenerated into "To Fine and Collect".
