I've put hundreds of rounds on 3/8" AR500, laser cut, with many edge hits. This from .223, .243, .25-06, .270, .280, 7RM, and .338WM. Shots have been mostly from 200-1000 yards. The plates, including the edges, show nearly zero wear. A good 3/8" AR500 plate will take a LOT of $$ in ammo before it wears out
