The Germans and Europeans in general have no concept of how dangerous wildlife can be. I now live and work in Germany and I can tell you that over here most people believe in the HOLY WOLF. The possibility that one is not at the top of the food chain never enters into their consciousness.

On the other hand the only bear in Germany was shot because it raided a farmer's bee hive.
