barrel life= lets say 700 rounds and its done.. when your using a rifle with credentials like this, your not going to take this to a range every other weekend and run off 50 rounds a day. once your load is found you start hunting, and stop reloading. 700 rounds is a lot more hunting than several lifetimes of joe average.
and if you burn one up, a new barrel is a badge of honour.
there are hundreds of calibers that great for hi volume shooters, weatherby is like a quarter mile dragster use it wisely it will give back trophies.
