Fishing derby on Feb 24th was great. 135 anglers. Lots of guest and better yet lots of kids. Seeing a child get a ribbon stating "I Caught My First Fish at Lake Sundance" while fishing with mom and dad was priceless. Smiles from ear to ear.

Weather likely played a part in getting a 44% participation increase.

Still...the more we get families out fishing the better.

Once the daylight savings kicks in and it is lighter well into the evening we can do some perch slaying after work for a few hours. Just need a lawn chair, bucket and rod.

Interestingly enough I had 30 marmish rods for prizes and people didn't have a clue what they were. In hindsight I should of given a demo.
