Hi everyone,
I'm 33 years old and live in Calgary. I started hunting in 2015, first for grouse and rabbits, and from the 2017 season, for whitetails. I've developed a fair amount of confidence with grouse and had a fair bit of success over the past couple years especially (using the 22), but I have yet to connect on a deer. I have all the equipment I need, and I've done a large amount of reading on the subject. Hopefully it's just a matter of time and continuing to put in the work, and things will come together.
I have a couple of friends who hunt, but they tend to be very busy and are often unavailable. I'm looking for someone with around my level of experience and knowledge (or even better, someone MORE experienced
) who has some time to go out and look for whitetails on crown land, including pre-season scouting. I also wouldn't say no to a grouse hunting partner when the time comes. For the moment all of my hunting is done with a rifle.
