When I worked part time in one of the larger stores I often made a call to one of the smaller shops when we were out of a certain product. Without exception the smaller shop charged significantly more. Some do not mind paying more and are willing to drive, but for me even though I live close to one of those smaller shops and their staff is great, unless I need something right now I will drive for the better price.
