Are you palnning to compete?

I never competed on a Provincial or national level with anything BUT Anschutz rifles, and they were by far the the predominant rifle on the line in all three sporting rifle classes of smallbore .
There were also the odd Walther, Remington, BSA, and Winchester rifles however.
At that time , Anschutz popularity was overshadowing the others.
Today there other other brands that will do as well for much cheaper.
There are several good rifles on the market now for the sporting rifle class , CZ being one.
However, if you want to shoot three position match rifle, the Anschutz is still the one too choose.
I have been out of the competitive scene for so long however, I don't even think 100 yards is shot in sanctioned competition, let alone 200 yard plus the any sight matches.
