Lots of good info.
For getting started there are "Otentix" and "Comfort Camping" in Provincial and Federal Camp grounds. Basically its a tent that has been set up in advance with all the supplies. You can get a taste of camping and go on from there.
There is a wide spectrum from backpack tenting to mega RVs. Idea is to have fun and enjoy beautiful nature. For starting choose someplace closer to other attractions e.g Banff, Jasper etc. In case you are getting bored there are other things to do as well.
