I'd second that ... .338 is awesome also. Not necessary but man do the game tip over nice with either. I've shot 30-06 for years but after shooting the .338 i wouldn't pick a 30-06 again. If i want a flat shooting gun then i grab the 7mm ... a well placed 140grain triple shock will knock down anything in Canada so It begs the question ... why use more!!! My answer ... .338's are just way better!!!
