The best cattleman I know once told me: if you see actually see a wolf (not just a track), it means there's lots.

He went on to say: when I say lots, i mean if you see one, there are so many dogs in the bush there's likely not enough room for the one you saw to physically fit in the bush!

This is great advice. And bordering on true. Anywhere where anyone has seen a wolf should be considered a problem area, and the best place to start.

On that note...I can vouche there is lots of wolves north, and south of Fort McMurray! I can also vouche I spent lots of time in 349 last year, early fall and there is lots there as well!
