+1 for Browning X Bolt Medallions in 300 win mag. I was fortunate enough to hunt with a buddy of mine and I had the chance to shoot a clip of his and I don't know if it was just the adrenaline, but the felt recoil was minimal. I think the fact the rifle with scope and sling was approx. 9.5 lbs helped.
