Do yourself a favour and try some of the new lines out there. You might change your mind on the whole "scam" theory. Besides, in the grand scheme of fishing, it's a cheap experiment, and what have you got to lose.
It's like vehicles, sure just about anything will get you to work, but some will do it a lot better than others, and excel different conditions.
You're really missing out if you only use Trilene XL...
