I use a 2X6 cut out of pine or fir in the shape of a large fox board with edges curved and the board fiber glassed, which last me over 25 years with virtually no nicking This size and shaped beam will also accommodate all pelts larger than mink, marten, muskrat, etc which are easily fleshed on their own shaping boards.
