Your father, and other senior hunters
The reason I have Pudelpointers is because I'm too old and beat up to chase a lab around after pheasants although I was happy to do that for many years. I now stroll behind a pointing dog.
When the older hunter can no longer hunt behind a flushing dog, I may be able to help you out.
