I've always been a ground hunter. This season someone set up a Big Game stand near where I hunt. Then haven't been back. So I tried it and am so glad I didn't buy one. Seat is too narrow to quietly turn. With the bar down I can't move my crossbow very well. So sticking to the blind and my tree impressions.
As for noise, make sure you tighten the bolts really good. The stand I tried had loose blots and the metal moved at the joints. Every time I scratched my nuts, it sounded like am old Ford door.
