I bought an old Coey in 308 from a fellow AO member, cut 1.5 cm off the stock, put a Cabellas Meopta 3x9-44 On it. My daughter shoots the reduced recoil or managed recoil factory loads and lives it. But she is 15 and I'm guessing around 100 lbs. We will go for qhitetail tgis fall. Plan is to go moose hunting in a couple years. She can use same rifle with hot loads.
