  1. Permission obtained is for the activity you told the landowner about, for one season. If you say you want to hunt ducks, you had better not be shooting anything else. Want to hunt there next year? Go back and ask again. I have a landowner who has let me hunt waterfowl on his land for years. But he doesn't let me hunt upland or big game as he has other friends he allows to do those hunts. You don't have free run of the land when you are granted a particular access.
  2. To the landowner: Try to look at things reasonably. But if you just don't feel right about this guy or his story, then deny further access. It's your land. You shouldn't have to wonder and worry.
