Very unfortunate that this was done where the public can see it, It shows poor judgement and casts a shadow on all trappers and sportsmen alike! It may be legal , but poor ethics for sure. as far as the finder saying all the animals were fresh , THAT is HIS assumption , based on what ? we don't know , and again as far as leaving dead coyotes in sight of live ones to incite fear ? LOL Pack a lunch on that one! not going to happen, an old cowboy tale at best!
for example I caught ten coyotes in a 1 acre size area , they did not all get caught at once , and rest assured any subsequent coyotes coming into that area were WELL aware of what was going on ! soooo , that knocks the old theory out the window doesn't it? also it could be they all were left to lay too long in the heat and for some unforeseen reason the fellow was unable to process them on time ! Stuff happens , BUT again poor judgement on his part!
