A sales person known to be thick as a plank from previous dealings was busy talking up how perfect a .577 mini mold was for the customer's 45-70.The same plant I talked to on the phone assured me he had just taking in a mint Savage 99 in .250 and would hold it for me.I drove the 100 miles the next day walked into the store and asked for the clerk and gun.Out he comes with a savage 99 in .22 HP clearly stamped on the barrel and in about 10%condition.Wanted to club him with it but they had cameras............Harold
