Fun for the whole family!
When: Friday August 9th and Saturday August 10th
Where: Last West Hall (20 km west of Rimbey on HWY 53, then north 2.5 km on HWY 761)
Stay: Campout Friday and/or Saturday night at hall or just come for the day on Saturday
Saturday Schedule:
Morning: visiting, Mini Tradeshow set up (Dam Beaver, Lights out, Dan D Traps, Reubens furs etc.)
10 AM: Wolf Trapping demo (Bill McLaughlin from Sundre)
11 AM: Lynx Trapping demo (Joanne Hollingsworth, Rocky Mtn House)
12 PM: Free BBQ and fixings (Sponsor: West Country Energy Services)
1 PM: Kid main event: Build a Birdhouse or Weasel Box with Greg and Steve
All Day: Guess the Beavers weight! (Various)
1:30: Registration of Horseshoe tournament players
2 PM: Kids events continue: Treasure Hunt!
3 PM: Women’s skillet toss
3:30 PM: Bush Winch Demo (Gary & Sara)
4 PM: Kids snowshoe races
4:30 PM: Hall opens – Silent auction opens
6:00 PM – Catered dinner: Roast Beef with gravy/horseradish, buns, Caesar salad, coleslaw, dill roasted potatoes, strawberry shortcake, coffee, tea, juice. (Kids 12 and under free, Adults $20 each)
