My rifle is an iron barreled MK1 and although I stRted using rolled oats ( accuracy wad good) I have dlso switched to cornmeal for several reasons.
One, it us more consitant , and two, I THINK it helps in scrubbing the bore fouling from the previous shot.
I can go 20 rounds and still make mreliable hits on the 200 meter steel .
