I would think they are "tough enough". What will the 338 RUMS be used for? Elk, moose deer or all the above? Close range hunting or long? If long range I would look at bullets more in the 300 gr class. Hear good things about the Sierra 300 MK, Berger and 285 gr ELD-M Hornady. I am putting together a 338 EDGE and will be trying the 285 ELD-M and the 300 gr Berger. If you will just be hunting normal ranges of no farther than 4-500 yds then maybe also look into some solid copper offerings, or bullets that don't have the BC needed for long range.
