Owned a few 94's none could be levered at the shoulder like my 1866 Yellow boy Uberti 44-40, slick smooth action that can used operated without taking your eyes off the target.
For hunting I once used a friends Marlin 45-70 it was a good rifle as well knocked a deer down at 60 yds. with no problem.
