For grayling, could also consider Quarry lake on the outskirts of Canmore, on the way to the Nordic Centre. Busy place with swimmers and walkers, but the grayling are fairly large. I have caught few 18" grayling there and a number of 14 to 17". I use a #6 leech or bugger in black and a slip bobber to let the fly go down near vertical and still allow 15 feet of tippet out. The bigger ones are down deeper while the smaller ones hit dry flies in the shallows. The best spot is in the south part of the pond, and about 1/3 east (off of the picnic bench). Best fished with a float tube or pontoon boat. Just a short haul from the parking area.
