Not saying it is easy done but have seen it done at Nationals, including ringing or turning a ram that doesn't fall. I occasionally shoot smallbore rifle and smallbore pistol, but have never shot the big stuff (can't afford it).
imo, some of the best known distance offhand marksmen are found among those who play the metallic silhouette high power game.
