Shipping a rifle is no different than say a crockpot...
Put it in a box, make sure there's plenty of packing so it doesn't get damaged.
Take said box to Post Office, put insurance* on it, send it off.
And if it's a factory rifle box, wrap it in paper to conceal it's contents.
* never ship anything worth more than $100 without insurance, regardless who pays for it... It's cheap.
