One thing that I have noticed, is that many of the new shooters don't hunt at all, and have no interest in hunting, and they don't have hunting shotguns. So most just look online, see that most clays shooters use O/U shotguns, so they run out and buy a low priced O/U, with little to no knowledge of shotguns, let alone shotgun fit.
