Was out there yesterday too. Went on at PP as well. Following main trails was ok but a bit rough at times. Off trail was passable (4x4) but really tough.

There is a crust on the snow. It wast hard to drive through but was the worst for walking because sometimes you broke through and sometimes you didn’t. You never was sure of your footing. Did snow angels face down a couple of times when I was rushing to a set line

No flooding but the water was to the top of the ice. But I did notice by the end of the day the snow was wet wherever I had been standing for any length of time.

Ice was 23” (measured) at my location. Solid and good.

Landed 5 lakers & lost at least twice that. 4 in the range of 19” - 23” and went back to grow. Got one keeper 81cms 12.25 lbs.

Got surveyed leaving the ice by some government guys. Took some bones out of my keeper to determine its age. Also looked inside too. Good guys.
