Most anglers think usually whitefish would stay in deep water. They come to the shallow searching for food in the early morning, but back to the deep water when the sun gets high.
This year, I did an experiment by fishing one deep water spot. One spot only. I found that in the early season, many whites cruise along in the deep water, but Still there are better chance to see them in the morning. But the chance to mark them on the Sonar gets less and less after the mid-season. Of course, this is also related the weather. When a big weather approaches, it becomes hard to find the fish. I believe the fish move less before the weather, but more active after the weather.
The funny thing is hardly to mark them on the sonar after 2:00pm. Where all these fish go? Stay put after 2:00 pm? If so, when will they get activated again? very interesting!
