IMO there’s a happy medium with weight, FOC and speed.
If you go heavy up front, you need a stiffer arrow, which is also heavier.
With that comes slower speed, and a bigger drop at distance.
You don’t need a 20% FOC arrow to kill anything. A 100gr head with a standard insert on any hunting shaft will kill.
I’m running what I would call a happy medium out of my bow, 100gr wasp boss, 110gr ethics insert, VAP TKO 300 spine, victory spot nock. Total arrow weight is 525gr and it comes out of my bow at 273fps.
