Wax your string periodically and inspect it frequently, if it starts to fray or you don't trust it then change it. Same with your arrows, flex them often , you don't want to have one blow up on you. Go around your bow with an Allen wrench before you go hunting and tighten everything up, trust me you'll be glad you did when the trophy of a lifetime steps out and you realize your arrow rest came loose .
