Alberta's greatest (maybe only) kayak fishing tournament will be July long weekend at Buffalo lake this year. It's actually open to any single person human powered vessel like a canoe, pontoon boat, etc. Last year it was split between Birch lake and Burntstick lake near Caroline. Cheap entry fee considering you have a good chance of winning a door prize at least, pretty sure last year there were more sponsor donated door prizes than entrants.
