Elk is right about enough neck clearance. I mentioned it too. There is nothing wrong with experimenting when you are hand loading but you REALLY REALLY need to know what you are doing if you are going to stray from standard loads and procedures at all. As long as you understand the variables and what to watch for you can learn lots. If you make a mistake you can also learn LOTS!.
