not going to lie, use to roadhunt a lot. always gun unloaded and getting out to shoot, but all it does is spook deer and you usually dont see much. If you do its a scramble to get ready in time. Now since I bought a blind, have some tree stands setup, have permission on private land I see tons more game then I ever did by leaving the truck at the gate and getting out and walking. There is the odd time on the way to the stand you see something and perhaps take a shot if its safe, but thats as far as my roadhunting goes nowadays. People just really need to get out of the heated cab and get some fresh air.
