Oh, and personal experience too. Sharp tree stand angles at 10 feet, hard to hit both lungs. Elk found tho. Hehehe.
That they can..I tell everyone Elk have three lungs, two hearts, and other spare parts...so you want to get at least two of those lungs...or one heart...
Have personally seen elk take an older bigger Thunderhead broadhead...thru top of one lung ...bottom of other...elk walked away and tried to bugle several times over the next hour...he walked 500 yards before laying down and expired...
