Why I wouldn't ask my in-laws, who in their 70+ years have never picked up a fly rod, for some general info that will hopefully lead to some more targeted questions on how to target pike on fly gear is probably best asked in a dedicated forum post.
In the meantime, if anyone does have some useful info, I'd appreciate it. What I'm really getting at is the best way to target pike in late August. The majority of my fishing is for trout and striped bass.
