Save some time and effort and go to the dollar store and get a bottle of Sally Hansen's hard as nails nail polish . I use that to seal the threads on my bucktails. Dries fast and is easy to work with. There is a youtube channel I like called " Smalljaw " and the guy is an excellent instructor that can teach you a lot with his tutorials on different patterns.
