i was cow calling a couple of days ago in a tree stand...what i heard was a lion from the plains of Africa coming across the willow patch...to my disbelief it was a cow moose...she had no idea that i was there...so what's up with the roaring she was doing...then that night i was cow calling,and called in 2 bulls....shot the smaller one and the bigger one stood @ a 100yards and made the same noise...so i am thinking that it is a noise that moose make when there agitated...
the cow was pizzed @ another cow being there and the bull was not liking me being in the willow patch with his brother....
i have heard bull elk make a barking sound when there upset and whitetails bucks make a coughing sound, but never heard a moose make a a noise other then a grunt...
