I heard it twice this past week (if we are talking the same noise)....once confirmed from a cow (saw her making it), the other I wasn't sure what it was.....bull or cow. Its the alarm call when the gig is up, usually when she has a calf. It is the "round up the wagons and high-tail outta town....that bush smells funny" call.
