grouse/partridge help
hi all, I was hoping someone could help. I have moved away from calgary for school and I have only been able to get back twice to hunt, both unsucessfully. I am heading back this next weekend and I was hoping to get into some ruffies or huns. The last two times I have been out was to the porcupines, which produced grouse like crazy last year but I havent seen one bird there this year. Is anyone having much luck with ruffies anywhere within 2 hours of calgary? Also where are some areas to hunt huns without permission needed? I have heard you can hunt irrigation canals but I am not too sure. Also does anyone know if the southeast end of travers reservoir is crown land as I have seen huns there before. thanks, and I hope someone can help as this will probably be my last weekend to get out and it's a long drive back to town to come back and get skunked again
