I knew a lot of guys who would spend the money on lures..... I just liked finding what they lost to snags.
But I never specifically targeted them unless fishing a derby.
I have always fished light gear.
Always found bass to be very boney, so they werent enjoyable for eating, but rather loved the fight they would provide.
