Well damn, your thread made me want to look into this further as I know someone it might help, and the Capri Clinic's website currently shows this:

Important Notice
Posted on April 16th, 2018
The CAPRI Clinic has specialized in the treatment of pain coming from muscle, bone and joint problems for over 15 years. In the past 3 years, we have been offering concentrated bone marrow injections (often referred to as stem cell injections) to treat pain from joints that are wearing out (osteoarthritis). We have done this with the approval of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). As other doctors became interested in offering these injections to their patients, the CPSA went through due process and developed regulations and standards to ensure these treatments were offered in a safe environment by trained physicians.

Just prior to the release of these standards, Health Canada made it known that they consider all cell therapies "drugs" and therefore have the authority to regulate stem cell injections. What does this mean? Health Canada has the authority to regulate cell therapies. In some cases, such as with platelet rich plasma (PRP), Health Canada has allowed the treatment to be offered as a cell therapy within a doctor's practice. In the case of stem cell injection, they have not yet finalized their position. We have been asked by the CPSA to discontinue offering stem cell injections until Health Canada has made their position known.

Effective April 13th, 2018 we will not be accepting new patients looking for stem cell treatments.

While we won't be offering stem cell injections, we can still provide you with an orthopedic assessment and PRP injection therapy, or we can put you on a wait-list for concentrated bone marrow injections once we are given permission to resume. If either of these options are of interest to you, click here to fill out an intake form.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter and look forward to helping you find pain relief so you can get back to living a more active life!
