I have Alpaca packrafts. They are light, high end, and are expensive. They are wonderful for getting to the back end of alpine lakes, way farther than you could ever kick to on a float tube. Fast enough to paddle that you can chase down risers, or position yourself for visible fish. Not nearly as nice a fishing platform as a float tube though - they swing in the wind a lot. I use a cloth bag on a light rope as a bit of a sea anchor, or actually anchor with a rock in a bag. Boat, paddle, CO2 cartridge vest, gear, and pack are barely over 20 pounds.
