Year of the lost creek fire (2004? can't remember for sure). Allowable activity was extremely limited. But you are right, notice was short. Lasted quite some time if I recall. Headed to Rocky for another shell project while waiting for the south country to be opened up again.

Lost creek was in 2003, and you could still hunt that year in the forestry. In 2007 the forestry was closed for about a month and a half. They opened the forestry up 2 weeks into hunting season.
