My Rizzini that I just ordered isa good compromise however,.
6.5X55 O/U, with a set of 20 guage barrels.
The Tikka I now own is another gun that I could hunt anywhere with - 12 guage barrels with a set of 28 guage tubes, and 9.3X74R barrels.
The 9.3 will go 200 yards no sweat, which is a decent distance for the areas I like to hunt.
These two guns are well made, ( although I have not received the Rizzini, Ii've shot one of their guns a few years back and their rep is good) but to buy the Tikka these days you would be shelling out a fair chunk of cash, as it has a very good set of QD scope mounts, top quality scope, fitted hard case, etc.
The Pedersoli SXS doubles can get pricey, and although they are nice, they ain't no Merkel or Kreigoff!!
This is a dilemma, for sure.....
