I don't think you understand what he's saying. Getting busted drawing a bow in the bald ***** prairies on a mulie is the main reason its so hard. A XGun can be cocked and ready so the chance of spooking the deer are vertually gone.
Remember there are more things to shoot in the flat country besides gophers and most of them spook easier as well.
