I was wondering the same thing about that thread. I can tell you that I went to Hopewell this afternoon, and saw a bunch of guys standing in the field just back from the road. I assumed they were waiting for the truck, which didn't come. I hiked into the back end of the site and put over 8 km on the boots (which means the dog did about 20), but never found a pheasant (though there were a couple of beautiful points on Meadowlarks!). Heard 1 shot in 3.5 hours. Similar story on Friday. Got 1 bird, heard 3 shots in 2.5 hours.
